Bamboo Grove is located on the west slope of Channel Ridge on the north end of Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, Canada.

What makes our property unique is the warm afternoon sunshine and sunsets, wide ocean views, the eagles, hawks, and ravens overhead, and the deer that wander through the property. Miles of trails criss cross hundreds of wild protected acres of arbutus and fir forests that surround us. Even when the island population doubles in summer, Bamboo Grove feels far above and beyond the fray, a secluded space for heart and mind.

Ferry from Vancouver/Victoria/Duncan

Long Harbor is the terminus for BC Ferries route from Vancouver to Salt Spring. Additional ferries from Vancouver Island via Vesuvius Terminal, and from Sidney/Victoria via Fulford Harbor Terminal, also support visitors arriving from those directions.

Salt Spring Island is a rural area, and there are many wonderfully remote places to explore, both by vehicle, and on foot! Some roads are also unpaved. For this reason, we recommend a 4WD vehicle! Our driveway too, which is 1000 ft. long and climbs to over 400 ft. to our spectacular view, though it doesn’t require a 4WD vehicle, is certainly easier if you have one.

Fishing, whale watching, golf, horseback riding, hiking, kayaking & paddle boarding, mountain biking, freshwater and ocean swimming, yoga and massage are all available on Salt Spring, some just out the back door, and some within a few minutes walk or drive. The nearest beach is just 1.0 km away, while several others are just a short drive.
