Given the current pandemic, we have changed our policy regarding making a commitment to a specific time slot. Guests are entirely welcome, up to 30 days prior to check in, to move your booking forward to another equivalent open time slot, whether later this year, or in the following, as you see fit, without penalty or additional cost.

We still require that you complete your payment process as scheduled, and our policy for refunds remains that full refunds are available up to 90 days before check in. Bookings cancelled less than 90 days prior to arrival are non-refundable.

We offer this "30 days prior to check in" rescheduling option, to provide guests flexibility in these uncertain times. This change applies to all bookings in 2020, and will be extended as required.

Children are welcome, but a few words about safety and behavior. Bamboo Grove sits atop a perch at 450 feet elevation. There are steep drops out front, as well as potential hazards throughout the wilderness behind the property. Additionally, the house is NOT “child proof” per se. In particular, young children should not be left unattended anywhere on the property, inside or out. Your rental is predicated on quiet enjoyment. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Pets are allowed on approval. Owners are expected to monitor their pets inside at all times, not leave them unattended, and clean up after them on the property. Your cooperation is appreciated!

Guests visit us from as near as Vancouver, and as far afield as Europe and Asia, and guests needs in terms of travel vary dramatically. We are happy to make suggestions on travel routes, times, and various details that will help make your arrival and departure as trouble free as possible. Please inquire and we will be happy to provide suggestions for your float plane and/or ferry arrangements. Please provide your arrival/departure locations and dates when inquiring.

Due to our these uncertain times, we have implemented procedures for our cleaners so that the house is carefully and thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between every guest stay, and this policy will continue through the year, if not well beyond.

The cleaners themselves wear disposable gloves during the cleaning, and ventilate the property well during the process, and use household disinfectants. The cleaning itself includes, along with all the usual processes, all counters,  doorknobs, handrails, wardrobes and cabinet handles, toilets, bedside tables, light switches, chairs, appliances controls, and other common contact surfaces, particularly in the kitchen and bathrooms.

It is our intention to make every guest stay as safe as possible at Bamboo Grove!
